Powering Artemis

For my mechanical engineering design capstone, I completed a self-driven senior thesis on a space solar concentrator satellite design for powering lunar habitats. Specifically, this thesis evaluates power generation technologies, power transmission modalities, and possible orbital paths that best suit the mission scenario of providing 150 kW of power to the lunar surface over a 5-year period. Ultimately, the research conducted in this thesis may one day contribute to powering human activity in the early stages of habitation on the Moon.
